biography

The Venus Guns emerged from East London’s indie-rock scene between 2005–2008, blending the dark swagger of The Doors, the raw grit of Nirvana, and the anthemic fire of Kings of Leon into a sound that was unmistakably their own.

Their debut EP, Fire It Up, produced by Adrian Newton (Maximo Park, Babyshambles) and mastered at Abbey Road by Steve Rooke, made waves before it even dropped—its double A-side release topping Amazon’s pre-order charts ahead of Madonna, Iron Maiden and Arctic Monkeys.

The band lit up London’s post-millenium underground, headlining The Garage, Camden Barfly, The Borderline, and opening for veteran US rockers Buckcherry on their career-defining Fifteen tour. Their raw energy carried into live and unplugged sessions for the BBC and Metro FM, cementing their reputation as one of the city’s most mesmerising live acts of the time.
